Location: Located on a peninsula extending into Christie Bay on the south shore of the East Arm on Great Slave Lake, Lutsel K'e is located at 62'24'N latitude and 110'44'W longitude and is 201 air km east of Yellowknife.

Access: Scheduled air service is available from Yellowknife and barge service from Hay River is provided in July. There is no road access.
History: The most northerly Chipewyan community, Lutsel K'e has been a focal point for residents since 1925 when the Hudson Bay Company Post was set up. In 1954 homes were moved to the current site and in 1960 a school was built.
The local economy is largely traditionally based although arts and crafts and tourism is important especially sport fishing.
