Biography
Michael M. Nadli was elected to the 17th Legislative Assembly of the Northwest Territories on October 4, 2011 as the Member for Deh Cho.
Mr. Nadli was born in Edmonton, Alberta and has lived in several different communities in the NWT. He currently resides in Fort Providence. After graduating from Paul William Kaeser High School, Mr. Nadli was awarded a two year scholarship to study an International Baccalaureate program at Lester B. Pearson College. He also attended the University of Lethbridge, completing first year management studies.
Mr. Nadli was elected as sub-chief of Deh Gah Got’ie First Nations from June 2009 to September 2011. He also served as Grand Chief of Deh Cho First Nations from August 1997 to June 2003. His previous work experience includes: Chair/CEO of Dehcho Land Use Planning Committee; Intergovernmental Advisor, INAC; and Chief Operating Officer, Dehcho Bridge Corporation.
Mr. Nadli enjoys arts and culture, reading/research and on the land activities. He also volunteers with traditional Dene drumming. Mr. Nadli is bilingual in his first language of Deh Gah Got’ie Dene Zhatie and English.
Mr. Nadli has a wife, Shirley, and two children.
