Caucus Room
Up the stairs on the left side of the building you will find the Caucus Room, the room with secondary importance in the facility. This room is used mostly for in-camera meetings of the 19 Members however it also doubles as a meeting room for the Assembly's Special and Standing Committees. A circle of skylights allows natural light to flow into the room and help light it. It is here in this room that paintings by A.Y. Jackson, the leader of the Group of Seven, hang. The paintings depict mining scenes from around the Northwest Territories and date back to 1949.
