Review of the Reports of the Chief Electoral Officer on the Administration of the 2015 General Election and the White Paper on Independence and Accountability of Election Administration
The Legislative Assembly is interested in your suggestions to improve the conduct of territorial elections. The Standing Committee on Rules and Procedures is continuing its review of the reports of the Chief Electoral Officer on the Administration of the 2015 General Election and the White Paper on Independence and Accountability of Election Administration. These reports were tabled in the Assembly on May 31, 2016, February 28, 2017 and June 1, 2017. Copies can be found at www.electionsnwt.ca by first clicking on “documents” and then on “reports.”
As part of the ongoing public review process, and based on your participation in the election process, the Committee remains interested in your thoughts regarding the administration and the conduct of the 2015 general election. This includes matters of independence and accountability, and any issues that you wish to bring forward, including your response to the recommendations contained in the three reports.
Written comments continue to be encouraged and accepted. Submissions can be mailed, faxed or emailed to the address below and will be accepted until 5:00 pm on Friday, July 14, 2017. If you wish your comments to be treated as confidential, available only to the Standing Committee on Rules and Procedures, please make your submission in writing and indicate that it should be treated as confidential.
