(YELLOWKNIFE)  Friday, March 13, 2015 – Ms. Shannon Gullberg has been appointed Acting Languages Commissioner of the Northwest Territories.

The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly today accepted the resignation of Ms. Snookie Catholique as Languages Commissioner of the Northwest Territories.  Ms. Catholique cited personal reasons for her resignation which takes effect immediately.   “On behalf of the Legislative Assembly I want to thank Ms. Catholique for her service to the people of the Northwest Territories,” said Speaker Jackie Jacobson.  “I wish her well in her future endeavours.”  

Ms. Shannon Gullberg has been appointed Acting Languages Commissioner until further notice.
