18th Assembly Fall Caucus Retreat

(YELLOWKNIFE, NT) August 25, 2017 - Caucus of the 18th Legislative Assembly met this week for a three-day retreat in the Inuvik region. MLAs and staff members travelled to Inuvik on Wednesday, August 23 and proceeded by boat to Reindeer Station, where they took part in meetings to review potential changes to the Mandate of the Government of the Northwest Territories, 2016-2019.

"It is important for us to come together as a Caucus to discuss important items that affect all northerners. It's great to get out and connect to the land, Reindeer Station is a beautiful part of our territory and we feel honoured to have been able to visit this historical site," says Kevin O'Reilly, Deputy Caucus Chair.

The Second Session of the 18th Legislative Assembly reconvenes on Tuesday, September 19. This year is unique, with the second session proroguing on October 4th and the third session opening on October 17th. This will give Members the opportunity to discuss the outcome of the mid-term review.
